Technologies

The technology is a biodegradable/biocompatible scaffold of piezoelectric nanofibers of PLLA (Poly-L-lactide). This scaffold may be seeded with stem cells and subjected to acoustic pressure from ultrasound in order to generate useful electrical charge for enhanced regeneration of tissues. In particular, the 3-D biodgradable piezoelectric scaffold may be used for artificial bone grafts.
