The malleable facial retractor challenges the currently used orbital space retractor with integrated suctioning and lighting functionalities. The retractor minimizes post-operative complications by increasing visibility in the orbital space and maximizing surgical autonomy. Full autonomy may reduce time of surgery and surgical costs for patients. Although there are similarly used retractors on the market, there is no available device that has been applied and specialized for use in the orbital space. Area specificity is important for retractors because the confined orbital space presents a unique set of constraints for instrument dimensions.
