Assistive technologies are important in providing equal opportunities and functional empowerment for persons with a disability and/or temporary or permanent disabilities, as they provide a means to promote independence and autonomy.
On this basis, human task aids are being developed as a means of compensating for the lack of adaptability of the appliances used in daily activities, taking into account the high cost of commercially available imported models as a means of compensating for shortfalls in domestic products.
The utility model is aimed at a user with movement restriction due to upper limb tremors, and allows the user to be independent in daily activities.
The appliance optionally couples a spoon, a knife, a fork, or even an object, such as a toothbrush, comb, or brush, to aid in self-care activities.
In comparison with the equipment available on the market, the following advantages are highlighted: (i) a fully mechanical mechanism; (ii) weight compensation by inserting and removing water to provide a set of mass changes; (iii) Manufacture of low-complexity parts and components, with implications for product maintenance, replacement of parts and components and hygiene; (v) possibility of use for a group of purposes (combs, brushes, forks, etc.).
