At present, composite resin is the most widely used material in direct dental restoration, mainly light-activated resin. The aesthetic effect of restoring teeth with composite resin is excellent. However, some mechanical behaviors of the resin during and after polymerization are not satisfactory, especially the high polymerization shrinkage.
