Polyclonal Anti-Stk25 antibody (also known as anti-YSK1 and anti-SOK1)

Technology description

Anti-Stk25 is a polyclonal rabbit antibody raised against a fusion of glutathione-S transferase (GST) and a region of Stk25 (NM_021537, residues 306-354) with minimal homology to Mst3 (NM_145465) or Mst4 (NM_133729). According to the NCBI, Stk25 encodes a member of the germinal centre kinase III (GCK III) subfamily of the sterile 20 superfamily of kinases. The encoded enzyme plays a role in serine-threonine liver kinase B1 (LKB1) signaling pathway to regulate neuronal polarization and morphology of the Golgi apparatus. The protein is translocated from the Golgi apparatus to the nucleus in response to chemical anoxia and plays a role in regulation of cell death. The official name of Stk25 is serine/threonine-protein kinase 25. Stk25 has also been referred to as SOK1, YSK1, Sterile 20/Oxidant Stress-Response Kinase, and Ste20-like Kinase.
