This invention has potential as a cardiopulmonary medical device to alleviate failing circulation subsequent to a Fontan procedure.
Invention consists of an axial-centrifugal flow catheter pump. The rotor provides both an axial fluid flow and a centrifugal fluid flow and a motor operatively connected to the rotor.

This improves upon existing pumps to allow the patient to be mobile and comfort after the procedure. It is also a single pump that still creates satisfactory blood flow from the superior and inferior vena cava into the pulmonary artery.
