Drug Free Therapeutix, LLC (DFTx) is a Purdue University startup that provides intelligent hardware and software for medical device companies in or entering the pain management device market. Their technology platform,ExtraneuralActivationControlTechnology (EXACT™), fine-tunes the output of an implanted or external stimulator according to the measured physiological response of a patient to electrical stimulation. By partnering with key pain management device companies, they will offer personalized pain management solutions to chronic pain sufferers who do not receive adequate results with available pharmaceutical or device-based treatment options.
