3. Technical content

In this technique, genetic analysis and immunoassays were used to measure the expression level of hBD-3 gene to determine the incidence of vaginosis.

When genetic analysis is carried out, primers or probes specifically binding to hBD-3 gene sequences are used. When primers were used, if the expression of hBD-3 gene was found to be higher than that in samples isolated from normal vaginal epithelium, gene amplification was performed to diagnose vaginosis. When the probe is used, the probe is crossed with the cDNA molecule. The hybrid signal was detected by hybridization reaction to diagnose vaginosis.

Immunoassays can be carried out according to various immunoassays or immunostaining schemes developed in the past.
